I entered the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Ocean University of Sri Lanka in 2012, and that is the place that provided me with the foundation to reach the place that I am in today. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree with specialization in Fisheries and Marine Science aided me to enter to Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in aquatic biology followed by research at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I received Peradeniya University Research Fellowship Award 2018. Soon after completion of M.Phil. Degree at University of Peradeniya, I have selected for the President’s Fellowship award by CAS-TWAS, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China in 2019 to complete my doctoral studies and to build a strong research network with globally renowned researches.

I will always be thankful to the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Degree Program , Ocean University of Sri Lanka for the solid foundation laid to achieve success in the field of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, I wish to become a competent world-class scientist in future !
