Academic staff of CRM Department embarks on a transformative journey to Busan, South Korea for capacity development training
In pursuit of excellence in education and a commitment to empowering its academic staff, the Department of Coastal and Marine Resources Management, Ocean University of Sri Lanka recently embarked on an enriching voyage to Busan, South Korea, for a capacity development training program. The trip offers a unique opportunity for the faculty members to enhance their skills, exchange knowledge with international peers, and explore innovative practices in the field of marine science.
The training program forms an integral component of the collaboration between the Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) and the Department of Coastal and Marine Resources Management (CRM) at the Ocean University of Sri Lanka. This collaboration is established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and falls under the project titled “Capacity Development of CRM Department.”
Five academic staff members from the CRM department embarked on this training for a period of 10 days starting from 25th of July, 2023.
The training aims to foster exchange of knowledge, upgrading of skills, hands-on experience and other means in the field of marine science. As they continue to impart their knowledge and inspire the next generation of marine science professionals, the impact of this capacity development program will undoubtedly resonate throughout the academic community, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
