The Ocean University Logistics club was founded in 2014 by the students at the Department of Maritime Transportation Management and Logistics. The intention of establishing the club was to enrich students’ life at the campus for better synergy and academic excellence. The Logistics club is the second-largest club at the Ocean University of Sri Lanka. As the second-largest club, all the students who learn Maritime Transportation Management and Logistics automatically qualify for clubs’ membership. Every year, the third-year students of the department are elected to top positions of the club. Logistics Club always helps students to go beyond and be the Logisticians that the industry needs.

The club organizes events annually. The events conduct to cover both academic and entertainment perspectives to rather balance the students’ minds and give a new learning experience at the campus. The events organize both virtually and physically. As its intention to help students succeed in academic activities is also a great facilitator for many CSR projects and initiatives. The annual blood donation program and “karadiya suwada” program helps students be better professionals in the future.

The Students’ Literary Association of Ocean University of Sri Lanka was established in 2018 and through this association opportunities is provided to the university students to develop and improve their literary and artistic talents.

The annual “Bhoomika” Drama Festival and the “Neerada” literary Competition and Festival organized at Ocean University are some of the greatest opportunities for the students to develop their literary talents. Furthermore, the Students’ Literary Association organizes the “Nenarala” Seminar series which is conducted each year for the Ordinary level exam students to a selected school in the island. In addition, the annual “Sajje” music festival, which aims to highlight the singing and playing skills of students, is also a major event organized by the Literary Association.

The board of the association is selected from the third year undergraduates of the university.

The Engineering & Innovation Club is an organization of Marine Engineering undergraduates of Department of Marine Engineering, Ocean University of Sri Lanka established to connect with the innovative world. All the members of the club hope to build an inclusive, diverse and responsible community recognized for advancing knowledge through fundamental and applied research.

The club organizes workshops, seminars, competitions to produce knowledge to address grand challenges around advanced technologies, sustainability, energy and the environment. The executive board is appointed from the undergraduates of 3rd year. Vision of the club is beyond the future and their task is optimistic.
