A MOU has signed between the Ocean University of Sri Lanka the Korea Maritime and Ocean University in 2022. The purpose of the MOU is to enhance the infrastructure and human resources capacity of the Coastal and Marine Resources Management Department. The program will be continued for seven years until 2029. The first set of laboratory equipment donated under the project has been received by the department in November 2022. The total value of the equipment is 18,774 USD including a VRS-GPS, Distilled water plant, Muffle furnace, microscopes and more.
