The Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCUSL) is an institution established with the aim of providing higher education opportunities to the young men and women of the country who have a special interest in studying the Marine, Maritime and Fisheries sectors.
The university receive a higher number of applications around 15,000 annually yet only a small number of applicants, around 300 get the opportunity to enrol in the regular degree courses. The Open and Distance Learning Centre of OCUSL now provides the opportunities to those who do not get the opening for the regular undergraduate programs conducted by the University and yet interested in pursuing education in the Marine, Maritime and Fisheries sectors.
The Centre at the moment offers two (02) online undergraduate degree programs in the fields of Supply-chain Management and Aquaculture and Seafood Technology at an affordable course fee. The applicants have the tremendous opportunity to enrol for the degree programs with minimum qualification of three passes at Advance Level or National Vocational Qualification Level 5 (NVQ 5).
