The Faculty of Engineering and Management of the Ocean University of Sri Lanka is dedicated to developing skilled professionals to serve the maritime, engineering, logistics, and ocean resource sectors. The Faculty integrates technical expertise, operational competence, and management knowledge required for both sea-based and shore-based careers.

With Sri Lanka’s strategic location along major international shipping routes and its expanding maritime industry, the Faculty plays a vital role in supporting national development in shipping, ports, marine engineering, coastal resource management, and maritime governance.

The academic programmes are designed to be industry-oriented, combining theoretical knowledge with practical and professional training to ensure graduates are equipped for employment locally and internationally.

Departments and Programmes

Marine Engineering (ME)

This department focuses on the development of marine engineering professionals for both sea-going and shore-based careers, as well as shipbuilding-related engineering fields.
