The ocean university Negombo branch  is one of largest state sector education institution situated  in highly developed fishing area and in a thriving tourist city of Sri Lanka. This institute is accredited by TVEC and all long term  course conducting presently are accredited for NVQ, QMS and QIS certified institute.

Ocean university is simply a knowledge Hub which share their wisdom throughout the Sri Lanka based on 8 regional centres where we represent the Negambo branch and this branch is one of the leading institute providing skill oriented training in fisheries, marine and maritime sectors  and also conduct carrier guidance services to school children and school leavers  via  awareness programme and exhibition . In the meantime,  the institute organize  seminars and  workshop to upgrade the living status of fisheries folk, enhance their skills and knowledge by conducting mobile programme.  The courses are mainly conducted for the fisheries and marine basis. In addition to that the institute provide specific training programme and short term courses according to the request  of other institute.
