The library of Ocean University of Sri Lanka facilitates a wide range of academic disciplines, from undergraduate programs to professional development and research. The main library at Mattakkuliya Head office, New building acts as the main resource center and supports the development of resource materials for Regional Centers. 

The main library consists of an up-to-date collection according to the fields of Marine Engineering, Maritime Transportation and Logistics Management, Coastal and Marine Resources Management, Coastal Resources Economics and Management, Oceanography, Fisheries and Marine Science, Aquaculture and Seafood Technology. Regional Centers hold reading materials related to conducting Courses with them. 

The library collection includes high-quality books, recommended textbooks, journals, general reading materials, CDs and DVDs are all monitored via the Integrated Library Management System.
